Director & Associate General Counsel (Robotics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; on-site five days per week

Expected base salary: $220,000–$300,000 USD per year

hirify.global develops commercially scalable and safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 platform deployed in real industrial environments.

What you will do

• Lead legal operations across the United States and Canada as an extension of the Office of the General Counsel.
• Provide regulatory support for production and R&D as HMND-01 is deployed in industrial environments.
• Advise on intellectual property rights, including invention capture, ownership, licensing, and protection.
• Manage disputes, pre-litigation matters, commercial contracting, and corporate and financing workstreams.
• Support public policy and government engagement across North America.
• Build and manage the regional legal team and own entity management, policies, templates, tooling, reporting, and outside counsel relationships.

Requirements

• 10+ years of legal experience after bar admission, including 5+ years in-house in regulated industries.
• Licensed US attorney in good standing, admitted in Massachusetts or eligible for Massachusetts in-house counsel registration.
• 5+ years of people management experience and the ability to build and scale a legal team.
• Experience supporting regulatory matters across production and R&D, substantive IP experience, and dispute resolution experience.
• Hands-on, execution-oriented approach with the ability to operate in ambiguity and create clarity.
• Ability to work from the Boston office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Canadian law or experience managing a cross-border US–Canada remit.
• Experience in robotics, artificial intelligence, automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience supporting venture financing, product safety, export controls, trade compliance, government relations, or public policy.
