Emergency Vehicle Technician (Corner Brook, NL)

Location: O'Connell Base in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador; Monday–Friday, on site

Salary: $41/hour CAD

What you will do

• Operate emergency vehicles in accordance with hirify.global Health NL policies.
• Maintain vehicles through preventive maintenance and complete directed mechanical repairs.
• Document work orders with odometer readings, parts used, service details, and labor times.
• Identify mechanical parts, supplies, and tools that need to be ordered.
• Follow best buying practices and maintain station cleanliness during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

• Five years of experience as a Red Seal Certified Automotive Service Technician with a valid Red Seal certification card.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle repair, workload management, basic computer programs, and inventory control.
• Completed WHMIS and related ambulance manufacturing, repair, inventory control, or cleaning courses, or willingness to obtain them.
• Willingness to obtain Emergency Vehicle Technician certification within three years of the original hire date and JOHS certification.
