Environmental Technologist (Environmental Sciences)

Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada; field travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond may be required

Compensation: CAD 24.00–32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Support environmental field programs involving groundwater sampling, soil sampling, drilling investigations, and remediation.
• Assist with environmental compliance projects at industrial, commercial, and institutional sites.
• Coordinate field activities, equipment, subcontractors, and project logistics.
• Prepare technical reports, field documentation, and project records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, regulatory agencies, clients, and project teams.
• Follow health and safety procedures while working in outdoor and changing weather conditions.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technology, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond as required.
• Strong organizational skills and accurate field documentation practices.
• Ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships within a matrix reporting structure.
• Valid unrestricted G driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Experience with soil and groundwater sampling.
