Maintenance Technician

Location: Airdrie, Alberta, Canada; onsite at a Vehicle Logistics Center

What you will do

• Inspect VLC equipment and facilities for wear, damage, neglect, and required maintenance.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
• Perform general custodial duties, groundskeeping, snow removal, and de-icing of lots, driveways, and evacuation paths.
• Coordinate subcontractors, urgent service requests, breakdowns, maintenance repairs, and facility projects.
• Prepare project proposals, source quotes, plan workflows, and minimize operational disruption.
• Monitor equipment, spare-part, and supply inventories while ensuring occupational health and safety compliance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or management.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Experience operating snowplows, Bobcats, and loaders.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks and minor equipment repairs.

Nice to have

• Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
• Loader Operator License.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors.
