Senior Data Scientist - IntelliScript (Remote)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to the hirify.global office in Brookfield, Wisconsin and nationwide travel for meetings, conferences, and team events may be required.

Salary: $93,700–$222,985 annually, with ranges varying by state and professional experience.

What you will do

• Research, develop, deploy, and maintain traditional AI and machine learning models.
• Build generative AI solutions for healthcare-related internal and external use cases, including centralized tooling and local LLM integrations.
• Construct, validate, document, and deliver model-based products for healthcare, insurance, and life sciences markets.
• Collaborate with Product, Business Development, ML Engineering, IT, and other data scientists.
• Drive model design, experimentation strategy, peer review, coaching, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience applying AI and machine learning to commercial data science solutions.
• Experience with electronic health records or unstructured data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of traditional machine learning, deep learning, NLP, generative AI, model validation, and experimentation.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI applications such as RAG systems, LLM evaluation frameworks, or GenAI-powered internal tools.
• Strong Python skills with some experience in R and/or SQL; proficiency with Databricks or a similar model development ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Git, unit testing, environment management, CI/CD, Docker, AWS Lambda, Linux, and ML Ops concepts; relevant degree required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or an actuarial designation such as FCAS or FSA.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, finance, life sciences, InsurTech, or FinTech.
• Experience working in a HIPAA, PHI, or PCI-compliant environment.
