AI Data Scientist

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship required. The role is associated with McLean, VA and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

What you will do

• Translate stakeholder needs into scalable AI, analytics, and data science solutions.
• Design machine learning models for search, discovery, information retrieval, and insight generation across structured and unstructured data.
• Build NLP, semantic search, entity resolution, document intelligence, and relationship-analysis capabilities.
• Integrate models into production environments using Palantir Foundry, Databricks, AWS, APIs, and batch pipelines.
• Develop model evaluation, validation, confidence-scoring, explainability, analytics, reporting, and dashboard solutions.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders while contributing to Agile delivery, solution design, and proposal support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied analytics.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance are required.
• Experience with machine learning, NLP, semantic search or information retrieval, entity resolution, relationship modeling, and large-scale document-based datasets.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, plus experience with Databricks or Spark, AWS, data lake or lakehouse architectures, and production model integration.
• Experience with model evaluation, performance metrics, cross-functional collaboration, and Agile delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palantir Foundry or Palantir AIP and AI-enabled search workflows.
• Consulting, client-facing, federal, or regulated-environment experience.
• Experience with multimodal analytics, OCR/ICR pipelines, document intelligence, graph analytics, ontologies, or relationship mapping.
• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker, Databricks Machine Learning, explainable AI, confidence scoring, and traceability.
