Valuation Manager (Business Valuation)

Location: Hybrid in the United States, including the San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Santa Monica, Irvine, Las Vegas, Austin, Long Beach City, or Sacramento

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 per year for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements; location- and qualification-specific ranges may apply elsewhere.

What you will do

• Manage valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax, transaction, dispute support, and audit review purposes.
• Identify, research, and resolve critical valuation and process-related issues using relevant strategies.
• Lead the preparation of valuation exhibits and reports and manage the quality control process.
• Develop client relationships, identify new opportunities, and support up-selling and cross-selling activities.
• Build professional networks, participate in industry groups, and contribute to marketing and thought leadership materials.
• Coordinate with leadership, staff, marketing, clients, and other service segments while improving delivery through technology and project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, mathematics, economics, finance, or an equivalent field.
• At least four years of business valuation experience in accounting, valuation, consulting, or investment banking.
• Five to eight years of total professional services experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial valuation requirements, fair value analyses, financial statements, and capital markets.
• Experience with client and staff management, business development, communication, and relationship building.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; advanced analytical tools and Crystal Ball experience are preferred.
