Master and Reference Data Management Lead (Insurance)

What you will do

• Define and drive the master and reference data management strategy, target state, roadmap, operating model, and standards for the Insurance business.
• Lead business and data requirements for platform modernization and partner with Technology and Architecture on solution assessment, target architecture, implementation, migration, and adoption.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, change controls, approval workflows, and accountability across governance, technology, platform, and business teams.
• Build trusted records, hierarchies, governed taxonomies, and integrations across operational systems, the enterprise data platform, and enterprise data products.
• Oversee data operations, issues, exceptions, risks, dependencies, service performance, and transparent reporting.
• Increase automation and governed self-service while using data quality, adoption, exception, and change metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related disciplines, including substantial master and/or reference data management experience.
• Experience designing or implementing master or reference data capabilities, operating models, and governance frameworks in complex organizations.
• Knowledge of modern master and reference data technologies, data quality, metadata, lineage, reconciliation, and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud-based enterprise data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with business leaders, data owners, stewards, architecture, engineering, and technology teams.
• Insurance or broader financial services experience in regulated data environments is highly desirable.
