Director, PGS and Enterprise Solutions Data Management & Engineering (AI-Ready Data)

Location: Hybrid in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, United States. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and operation of enterprise data pipelines and integration services connecting manufacturing, quality, supply chain, ERP, MES, historian, and enterprise platforms.
• Establish DataOps practices covering release management, environment control, version management, automated deployment, monitoring, incident management, service levels, and on-call operations.
• Lead data quality engineering, including rule enforcement, anomaly detection, remediation, measurement, lineage, evidence management, and product certification.
• Establish observability across pipelines and data products to detect failures, data drift, and degradation before consumers are affected.
• Ensure data products and pipelines meet 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, GAMP 5, ALCOA+, and evolving AI data-integrity expectations.
• Build and lead a distributed engineering function, managing internal colleagues, partners, contractors, recruitment, capability development, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience, including 3 or more years leading technical teams; 7 or more years may be accepted with an advanced degree.
• Enterprise-scale ownership of data pipeline or integration estates, including operational accountability.
• Strong experience with data quality engineering, lineage, observability, and distributed teams across geographies and time zones.
• Experience managing partner or vendor delivery alongside internal teams and influencing senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in GxP-regulated manufacturing and knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, GAMP 5, and ALCOA+.
• Experience with data products, data contracts, certification frameworks, and trusted-data practices.
• Familiarity with historians, MES, LIMS, SCADA, ERP, cloud data warehouses, streaming, and orchestration tools.
• Understanding of ISA-95 and ISA-88 and experience establishing or reshaping a function.
• Global cultural awareness and comfort working across time zones; some travel is expected.
