Manager, Data Management

Annual base salary: $99,100–$163,400

What you will do

• Govern data availability, usability, integrity, security, and privacy.
• Design and implement data governance practices, roles, responsibilities, standards, and best practices with business partners.
• Develop data quality procedures and remediation plans; perform profiling and analysis and communicate findings.
• Define and maintain metadata repositories, data catalogs, reference data management, data lineage, taxonomies, and naming standards.
• Analyze requests for production-system and data-management changes, assess system impact, and develop specifications, enhancements, and procedures.
• Facilitate root-cause analysis and resolution of data-management issues while managing project plans and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or three years of relevant data, analytics, and/or data-management experience.
• Experience with ETL or data-integration tools, data platforms, cloud-computing technologies, and related emerging technology.
• Experience with one or more of SQL, Teradata, Python, Hive, MicroStrategy, Ab Initio, messaging, or NoSQL.
• Understanding of metadata management, cataloging, lineage, data models, data relationships, mapping, and business rules.
• Strong communication, consulting, relationship-building, strategic-thinking, judgment, and time-management skills.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, provide strategic direction, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
