Electrical Design Engineer (FPGA & PCB Design)

What you will do

• Define electrical subsystem requirements, specifications, and interfaces from system-level requirements.
• Design and prototype analog and digital mixed-signal circuits, capture schematics, and direct PCB layout.
• Design, implement, verify, and optimize high-speed FPGA systems for data acquisition, processing, and communications.
• Develop test fixtures, procedures, and scripts for PCB prototypes and FPGA functional testing, qualification, and characterization.
• Perform circuit, signal integrity, timing, thermal, power, and FPGA simulations; integrate, debug, and troubleshoot hardware from bench to system level.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers and maintain design, test, and manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

• BSEE with 3+ years, MSEE with 2+ years, or PhD in electrical engineering with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience with PCB design, FPGA and embedded processor development, and high-speed digital hardware.
• FPGA development experience with Xilinx or Intel platforms, including Verilog and/or VHDL, simulation, synthesis, implementation, and debugging.
• Understanding of FPGA-to-PCB interfaces, timing analysis, timing closure, and constraint development.
• Hands-on experience integrating and debugging hardware and firmware and testing prototype systems.
• Familiarity with OrCAD, Vivado or ISE, Quartus, Synplify, Questa or ModelSim, Python, and MATLAB.
