Quality Manager (Industrial Manufacturing)

Location: Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico; onsite manufacturing plant role. Travel to the United States is required approximately 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead the plant Quality organization and promote quality ownership across all functions.
• Develop and execute the plant Quality Strategy, objectives, and improvement roadmap.
• Lead the transition from reactive to preventive quality using data-driven decisions, risk management, process controls, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee customer, manufacturing, process, incoming, supplier, product reliability, and quality-system activities.
• Drive containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, customer communication, and reductions in Cost of Poor Quality.
• Develop Quality Engineers, Supplier and Incoming Quality specialists, Technicians, Inspectors, and related functions while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience leading Quality functions and developing Quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electrical, electronics, electromechanical, automotive, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, process control, risk management, Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Smart Manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC, Pareto Analysis, and other structured problem-solving methods.
• Conversational English is required. Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills are also required.
