Telco Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Onsite, primarily from an HPE office in the United States

Salary: USD 111,500–211,500 annually in Colorado; USD 106,000–243,000 annually in Texas

What you will do

• Validate HPE ProLiant servers for telecommunications infrastructure and carrier-grade requirements.
• Test server networking interfaces, memory, storage drive performance, operating systems, and traffic handling.
• Execute RFC 2544, memory benchmarking, stress, thermal, power, performance, and NEBS testing.
• Build automation scripts and create complete testing plans, protocols, documentation, and validation tools.
• Identify and debug code and integration issues and develop solutions for assigned systems or subsystems.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with engineering, management, and internal or outsourced development partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent discipline.
• Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of compute and server hardware and switching networks.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Ansible, and shell scripting.
• Hardware testing experience with IXIA, XENA, or other traffic generators.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing methodology, documentation, communication, and mentoring skills; mastery of English and the local language.
