HPE Labs - Business Planning Manager I

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States; hybrid with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office. Remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Salary: USD 92,700–187,500 annual base salary in California and New York. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Support strategic business development projects and analyze market trends for the HPE Labs Innovation Program Office.
• Conduct primary and secondary research, competitive analysis, due diligence, market mapping, and industry intelligence gathering.
• Evaluate startup materials and emerging technologies for potential alignment with HPE solutions.
• Prepare clear presentations, reports, narratives, and data-driven recommendations for senior business leaders.
• Plan and execute initiatives, including milestone tracking, risk management, periodic reviews, and feedback incorporation.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and other HPE business units while supporting operational and administrative activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, or another analytical field.
• MBA from an accredited institution; active MBA study is also referenced among the preferred candidate qualifications.
• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in technology, startups, technology investing, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy and development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic-thinking, communication, presentation, relationship-management, and time-management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data, formulate concrete recommendations, manage strict deadlines, and handle multiple cross-functional projects.
• Advanced familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
