Thermal Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Intern (GPU Platforms)

Location: Toronto, Canada; on-site presence required

What you will do

• Perform mechanical, thermal, and acoustic testing of graphics cards.
• Validate thermal management firmware using Python and automate test procedures and reporting.
• Build computer systems and server-grade test setups.
• Analyze medium- to high-volume datasets and present findings and recommendations.
• Design test fixtures in CAD and prepare technical test reports.
• Manage lab equipment, inventory, procurement, and vendor communication.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related science or engineering field.
• At least 3 months of educational or work experience is required.
• Laboratory skills, including test setup preparation and data acquisition.
• Data analysis experience with programming languages and Excel.
• Programming experience in Python or a similar language.
• 3D modeling and mechanical design skills using Creo, with good working knowledge of SolidWorks.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of computer architecture and computer organization.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, Linux command line, drivers, virtualization, datacenters, or servers.
• Knowledge of discrete graphics add-in cards or mobile discrete graphics systems.
• Experience running AI models, building PCs, or working in a laboratory environment.
• Deeper project experience with Python or other programming and scripting languages.
