Energy Engineering Intern

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite five days per week. This specific position is onsite, although other opportunities under the posting may be remote, hybrid, or onsite across North America. Travel is less than 15% within a defined geography.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities and support small customer energy projects.
• Perform technical analysis, project reviews, and risk assessments for energy initiatives.
• Conduct building walk-throughs and identify architectural, mechanical, and electrical energy conservation measures.
• Support reporting improvements, investigate new technologies, and analyze system data for trends and deviations.
• Assist with preliminary audits, benchmarking, site surveys, interviews, and technical opportunity qualification.
• Develop benchmark summary reports and recommend measurement and verification methods for system performance.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree throughout the summer internship, preferably in Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Completed at least the second year of study before the internship begins.
• Must have the legal right to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid driver's license for at least 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
• No major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions, including specified violations within the previous three years.
