IC Validation Engineer Intern - BS/MS - 2027 Co-Op (Semiconductor)

Location: Full-time onsite in Kanata, Ontario, Canada

Expected base pay: CAD 30–41 per hour

What you will do

• Measure transmitter and receiver performance of high-speed mixed-signal DSP chips.
• Test digital and analog product features from initial lab silicon bring-up through field deployment.
• Assemble validation test stations.
• Run and edit Python automation tools.
• Collaborate with the Software team to integrate, test, and develop code that controls, monitors, and tests silicon.
• Assist with data collection and present validation results.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong Python programming and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of hardware and software fundamentals, digital communication, and digital signal processing.
• Strong design and development experience with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability for an 8–12 month term and full-time onsite work in Kanata, Ontario.
• Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled technology and software; an export license review may be required.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of related coursework.
