Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (AI)

Location: Fully remote, based in the United States or Canada

Salary: USD $175,000–$205,000 base annually, plus significant equity

What you will do

• Own core product or platform systems end to end and become the technical expert for assigned areas.
• Investigate, design, and implement solutions across distributed systems with a high degree of ambiguity.
• Architect, build, and maintain highly available, scalable REST APIs and backend services.
• Decouple and modularize systems, reduce technical debt, and improve resilience by eliminating single points of failure.
• Use concurrent autonomous agent workflows and help shape AI integration across engineering systems and processes.
• Collaborate asynchronously with product, data, and go-to-market teams while improving engineering tools and workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building large-scale backend systems and APIs.
• Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent.
• Experience with Python, Go, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, AWS, relational and NoSQL databases, and SQL.
• Strong database modeling skills and familiarity with application observability using Datadog or comparable tools.
• Experience with both 0-to-1 initiatives and complex existing systems, including rapid context switching across concurrent workstreams.
• Clear, proactive communication and sound technical judgment across engineering and business tradeoffs.
