Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; office-first culture with three days per week in the office for most roles

Annual base pay range: $139,725–$209,588 USD for candidates based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington.

What you will do

• Develop web and mobile interfaces, prototypes, and cloud applications for product modules.
• Design and contribute to frontend and backend architecture using Java, Spring, Python, REST, Drupal, and cloud services.
• Write unit tests and maintain at least 80% code coverage according to team standards.
• Collaborate with UX, product managers, product owners, and developers on planning, grooming, architecture, and component design.
• Reduce defects, resolve high-priority issues within SLA, and conduct peer code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and help build high-performing engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical or business field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering or development experience.
• Hands-on expertise in object-oriented design, Java/J2EE, design patterns, Spring MVC, SQL, and web services.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka or other data-streaming tools, REST/OAuth/JSON, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Python or Bash, agile development, and public cloud platforms including Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
• Recent experience with Drupal, Ember, Angular 8+, Java 7+, or Python.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, including cluster deployment, scaling, and management.
• Familiarity with relational and document databases.
