Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote - Virginia, US

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 base salary annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Nest.js, Node.js, and Angular.
• Build reusable frontend components, backend microservices, RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and event-driven integrations for high-volume financial workloads.
• Integrate large language models into production applications, including assistants, copilots, workflow automation, conversational experiences, semantic search, and agentic workflows.
• Implement prompt engineering, model evaluation, guardrails, responsible AI practices, and AI governance controls.
• Deploy and operate cloud workloads using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers, Kubernetes, monitoring, and observability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Data Engineers, Security teams, and business stakeholders on scalable technical solutions and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience spanning frontend and backend development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python, with experience in Angular, Node.js, Nest.js, Spring, JPA, FastAPI, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, Kafka or Pulsar, Spark, relational and NoSQL databases, vector databases, and data platforms.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI-powered applications in production, including LangChain or LangGraph, RAG, embeddings, model evaluation, and AI observability tooling.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, distributed tracing, and metrics logging.
• Experience building enterprise-grade solutions for critical business processes and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Splunk, Grafana, Loki, or Prometheus.
• Background in financial services, banking, alternative asset management, or FinTech.
• Experience designing data pipelines and data lakehouse solutions for large, disconnected datasets.
