Location: Livingston, New Jersey, with approximately 40–60% travel across the U.S. and Canada. The role requires access to export-controlled information and may require U.S. person status or eligibility for the applicable export authorization.
Base salary: $177,000–$237,000 annually, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do
- Lead site compliance across environmental, health, and safety programs, including training, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Manage EHS governance, metrics, KPI dashboards, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting across North America.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, emergency response, business continuity, and crisis communications.
- Partner with operations, construction, facilities, security, sustainability, legal, people, and procurement stakeholders.
- Manage regional budgets, staffing plans, and third-party EHS service providers.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, first responders, and insurance and risk partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive EHS experience, including at least 5 years in a multi-site or regional leadership role.
- Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other 24/7 high-hazard industrial operations.
- Experience managing EHS programs across multiple U.S. states and engaging with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Required certification: CSP, CIH, ASP, CHMM, OHST, or NEBOSH qualification.
- Strong EHS technical, enterprise-system, data-reporting, executive communication, and prioritization skills; ability to travel 40–60% and work on data center and construction sites using required PPE.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing EHS programs across Canadian provinces.
- Ability to obtain site-specific security or facility access clearances, including for FedRAMP-supported government operations.
