Senior Accountant

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Perform month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and expense variance analysis.
• Prepare supporting schedules and analysis for annual external audits.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Implement accounting process and system improvements while ensuring appropriate accounting treatment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of accounting experience at staff accountant level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to interpret and implement new accounting guidance.
• Experience with a major accounting system such as NetSuite, Intacct, Oracle, or SAP.
• Required experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience documenting and improving accounting systems and processes.
