Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: New York City, NY, United States; on-site

hirify.global is an AI frontier lab developing large action models and world models for virtual and physical environments, building on Medal, a gaming clips platform.

What you will do

• Own full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, payment runs, reimbursements, card reviews, vendor communication, and year-end 1099s.
• Manage accounts receivable and Medal billing, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and AR aging.
• Complete monthly bank, credit card, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation.
• Support the US month-end close by booking accruals, prepaids, and journal entries and preparing flux reviews for a five-business-day close.
• Manage US bank accounts, payment and payroll funding, cash-flow forecasting, ledger maintenance, and audit-ready documentation.
• Support revenue recognition, audits, tax filings, investor requests, and the transition of accounting work from an outsourced partner.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of accounting experience, ideally including Big Four or public accounting and experience at a high-growth company.
• Strong US GAAP foundation and extreme attention to detail.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, and cash management.
• Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and detailed operational work.
• Ability to work on-site in New York City, United States.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EU accounting practices and experience working with European entities on intercompany accounting and consolidation.
• Experience bringing accounting operations in-house from an outsourced firm or working across multiple entities.
