What you will do

• Teach performing arts through singing, acting, dance, movement, enunciation, and projection.
• Build students’ communication skills, self-confidence, and ability to express themselves authentically.
• Collaborate with performing arts teachers to develop and improve a network-wide curriculum.
• Design, direct, and produce multiple school productions each year, including costumes, sets, props, lighting, and sound.
• Build supportive relationships with students and families and contribute to school culture through assemblies, morning circles, community meetings, and student supervision.
• Participate in professional development, mentorship, coaching, and grade-level instructional planning.

Requirements

• Passion for musical theater, including singing, acting, and dancing, with the ability to provide individual and small-group instruction.
• At least two years of combined experience as a performer, producer, playwright, director, or technical support professional.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university before employment begins.
• Eligibility for New Jersey state certification, including the required undergraduate or graduate GPA threshold.
• Willingness to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after starting employment.
