Director I, AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism Curriculum and Assessment (EdTech)

Location: Remote in the United States. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required, including 6–8 trips per year and up to two additional weeks for AP Reading.

Salary: $96,000–$135,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead curriculum, exam, scoring, and professional learning development for AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism.
• Author, revise, review, and manage formative and summative assessment content and scoring materials.
• Train and supervise subject-matter experts, recruit educators, and lead Test Development Committee meetings.
• Plan and deliver the annual AP Reading, including scoring workflows and post-event publications.
• Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, reader reliability, and cut-score development with psychometricians.
• Collaborate with AP teams, teachers, college faculty, and higher-education stakeholders on course growth and instructional products.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics or a directly related discipline; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
• Physics expertise and at least five years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work.
• Strong written and oral communication, organizational, planning, collaboration, and technical skills.
• Experience implementing processes, managing project plans and schedules, tracking documentation, and proofreading.
• Willingness to adopt AI-driven solutions and learn new digital tools independently.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Experience with digital assessment and teaching.
