What you will do

• Coordinate Special Education programs and deliver pull-out, push-in, small-group, and one-on-one instruction.
• Review intake assessments, analyze student work and growth data, and differentiate curriculum and instruction.
• Manage evaluations, classroom observations, testing, IEP meetings, pre-referral meetings, and annual IEP preparation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, students, and families to implement IEP and 504 accommodations.
• Maintain student records, prepare regulatory reports, and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal Special Education laws.
• Build supportive relationships with students and families while participating in professional development, mentorship, coaching, and school-wide meetings.

Requirements

• Special Education teaching certification is required.
• Academic expertise in Special Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to students’ social-emotional and academic development.
• Interest in supporting K–12 students in urban schools and communities; 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, learn independently, and apply feedback.
