Program Officer, Instructional Design & Multimedia

Location: Remote within the United States, with required domestic travel of up to 20%. The listed location is Wichita, Kansas, USA.

Pay rate: $80,000–$85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design multilingual, self-paced learning journeys for newcomers using learning objectives, sequencing, knowledge checks, adult learning principles, and plain-language standards.
• Establish, review, and improve instructional design standards and update existing learning resources on a regular cycle.
• Create short-form videos, infographics, motion graphics, social media assets, and other multimedia content for web, mobile, and social platforms.
• Manage post-production, including Adobe Premiere project organization, color correction, sound design, motion graphics, exports, compression, and archiving.
• Coordinate voiceover, subtitling, translation review, accessibility, user testing, and feedback across multilingual teams and projects.
• Manage production timelines, external contractors, project reporting, performance monitoring, and content optimization using platform data and user insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of professional experience combining instructional design and multimedia production, including multilingual digital content for diverse populations.
• Experience designing self-paced adult learning and using e-learning tools.
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere and graphic design tools such as Adobe InDesign and Canva, plus knowledge of social media platforms, especially Facebook.
• Working knowledge of plain-language principles, digital accessibility standards, project monitoring and evaluation, data collection, management, and reporting.
• Experience working with subject matter experts, consultants, production vendors, refugee resettlement or immigration programs, and the ability to explain complex information through clear visual learning content.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Dari, Pashto, Spanish, or Haitian Creole.
• Previous experience with ORR-funded programs.
