Material Program Manager V (Aerospace)

Location: Folsom, California, United States. The role includes up to 10% travel, including overnight travel within the United States.

Base salary: $140,000–$195,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own material schedules, budgets, Integrated Master Schedules, Integrated Master Plans, and earned value management activities.
• Manage project-level profit and loss, estimates at completion, material sales forecasts, accruals, and cost accounts.
• Lead program execution with key propulsion subcontractors through SRR, PDR, CDR, and related contract data deliverables.
• Coordinate supplier delivery schedules, identify supply and demand gaps, and resolve critical material shortages.
• Present program status, risks, opportunities, and future plans to customers, executives, technical teams, and leadership.
• Support proposals, follow-on business, continuous improvement, and complex data-driven supply chain problem-solving.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance are required.
• Applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business and at least 20 years of program management and/or supply chain management experience, including five years managing DoD propulsion-related programs.
• Experience managing large subcontracts and working in material program management or supply chain management on prime defense programs.
• Experience briefing executive management and customers; strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong program and budget management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Active DoD Secret clearance and experience with rocket propulsion defense systems or propulsion control systems.
• Systems, aerospace, or mechanical engineering degree; PMP certification.
• Knowledge of government procurement processes, Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Experience supporting prime proposals and business development with customer funding offices.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and VBA.
