Acquisition Program Manager (Aerospace): Leading acquisition management and technology transition for an AFRL autonomous air refueling research program with an accent on cost, schedule, performance, and DoD compliance. Focus on developing acquisition strategies, coordinating engineering and finance stakeholders, managing risk and contracts, and transitioning advanced aircraft systems to a DoD program office.
Location: Onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio, United States. Travel is minimal and working hours are standard.

What you will do
- Lead acquisition processes for an AFRL autonomous air refueling research program in compliance with DoD policies and regulations.
- Develop and maintain acquisition strategies, plans, statements of work, CDRL packages, and data rights/IP documentation.
- Coordinate engineering, logistics, finance, and other cross-functional teams to meet program objectives.
- Provide expertise in risk management, cost estimation, contract negotiations, and acquisition decisions.
- Monitor program performance, implement corrective actions, and present status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead technology transition planning and support the transition of advanced aircraft systems to a DoD program office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of acquisition management experience within the DoD or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations, with experience managing complex acquisition programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or PMP certification.
- Experience with aircraft systems or aerospace programs.
- Experience with Earned Value Management, program management tools, and Federal or DoD RFPs.
- Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certification.
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC policies, processes, and procedures; active TS/SCI clearance.
