Emergency Room Tech - Full Time Days

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; onsite day shift

Salary: $22.58–$29.35 per hour

What you will do

• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform laboratory tests, including phlebotomy, glucose testing, pregnancy testing, and rapid strep testing.
• Obtain and document vital signs, perform 12-lead EKGs, recognize basic arrhythmias, and manage patients on cardiac monitoring systems.
• Provide wound care, dressings, bandages, splints, oxygen support, and basic IV line assistance.
• Assist nurses and physicians with examinations, minor procedures, patient positioning, ambulation, feeding, and comfort activities.
• Transport patients, blood products, belongings, and equipment; support admissions, discharges, transfers, and post-mortem care.
• Maintain emergency department records, logs, supplies, physician schedules, orders, and diagnostic testing coordination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or EMT-B certification.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• One year of experience is preferred.
• Onsite work in Lake Forest, Illinois, on a full-time day shift is required.
