What you will do

• Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, elimination, catheter care, vital signs, skin care, mobility assistance, feeding, and hourly rounding.
• Observe and communicate patients’ physical and emotional status, report changes to registered nurses, and document care accurately.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, labeling, processing, and transport.
• Set up equipment and assist physicians and clinicians with treatments, dressings, tests, and other procedures.
• Respond to call lights, support patient observers, reinforce belongings procedures, and assist with post-mortem care.
• Follow patient identification, infection control, safety, emergency, disaster, and confidentiality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
• Computer skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to handle detailed confidential information.
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques, point-of-care testing, and age-appropriate patient care.
• Ability to lift 30–35 pounds, turn patients, and stand and walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Four years of healthcare or nursing service experience.
• Certification as a patient care associate, clinical associate, nursing assistant, or equivalent.
