Medical Assistant

Location: Elko, Nevada, United States. Onsite role in a Health Center. Schedule: full-time, four 10-hour shifts from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Tuesday through Friday; one weekend per month from 8:00am to 2:00pm may be required.

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide care to client employees and their dependents in the Health Center.
• Support the laboratory and float to other clinical areas as needed.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate patient health records and prepare, clean, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support administrative operations, including front-desk assistance, appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and medical supply ordering.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from a hirify.global-approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• State Lab Certificate required for Nevada.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
