Referral and Clinical Authorization Analyst

Location: Brookline, Massachusetts, United States; remote work with occasional onsite attendance

Salary: $54,100–$57,200 per year

What you will do

• Prioritize data, reporting, and analysis requests for the Access Management Department and related departments.
• Identify appropriate systems and workflows to complete requests accurately and on time.
• Build and maintain denial management reports, financial report cards, productivity dashboards, and quality monitoring reports.
• Develop datasets and benchmarking tools to identify revenue-cycle trends, opportunities, and errors.
• Support leadership decisions on staffing and performance through quantitative models and ad hoc reports.
• Create project-management tools and facilitate communication around key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least two years of relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of revenue-cycle operations, payer requirements, managed-care policies, and medical terminology.
• Experience with Epic or other hospital information systems.
• Analytical, research, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and project-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Business Objects, or Oracle.
• Experience with revenue-cycle systems, technology, and related applications.
