Health Analyst - Oncology (Cancer Surveillance/Oncology Registry): Supporting cancer surveillance and oncology registry programs through scientific engagement, registry operations, reporting, and basic data analysis with an accent on data quality, stakeholder coordination, and public health research. Focus on maintaining tumor registry activities, analyzing cancer surveillance data, and coordinating multidisciplinary partnerships and deliverables.
Location: Primarily remote within the United States; occasional onsite attendance may be required at the client's Rockville, Maryland office. Candidates must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and perform all work in the U.S.
Salary: $55,665–$94,631 annually.

What you will do
- Manage scientific engagement and analytics projects supporting the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance Research Program.
- Maintain tumor registry-related activities and support oncology registry operations.
- Support strategic planning, program development, assessment activities, and scientific engagement initiatives.
- Organize stakeholder partnership meetings, track actions, and monitor deliverables.
- Conduct basic analysis using spreadsheets and user-friendly analytical applications for reporting and decision-making.
- Contribute to cancer surveillance research, evaluation, outreach, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, communications, public health, research, oncology data management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in public health, healthcare administration, oncology data management, cancer research, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience with a cancer registry or exposure to registry rules and operations.
- Must be eligible to sit for the Oncology Data Specialist certification exam and obtain certification within 3 months after hire.
- Must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and perform all work in the U.S.; NCI Security Badging must be obtained and maintained.
- Mid-level data analysis and statistical skills, spreadsheet proficiency, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Nice to have
- Current Oncology Data Specialist certification.
- Master's degree in healthcare administration, communications, public health, research, oncology data management, or a related field.
- Experience supporting partnerships and outreach with surveillance and public health stakeholders.
- Presentation and facilitation experience.
