Operations Analyst (Healthcare) (SQL/Python/Tableau): Analyzing cancer center operations, clinical workflows, patient volumes, and performance data with an accent on reporting, data visualization, and hospital decision support. Focus on querying complex data from Epic and enterprise data warehouse systems, building dashboards, and transforming operational results into actionable insights for quality, safety, patient experience, and hospital operations.
Location: Manhattan, New York, United States; NYU Langone Hospitals, Perlmutter Cancer Center.
Salary: $70,481.60–$80,560.00 annually.

What you will do
- Prepare reports covering patient volumes, volume targets, telephone utilization, Beacon reports, RVUs, and physician utilization.
- Query, manipulate, analyze, and visualize operational and clinical data from Epic, the enterprise data warehouse, and other hospital systems.
- Build dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and automated reporting solutions using Tableau and other business intelligence tools.
- Execute complex analytics supporting quality, safety, patient experience, operational performance, and decision-making.
- Interpret monthly results to identify trends, patterns, improvement opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations leaders on ad hoc analyses and department-level reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience with analytics, data visualization, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and relational database management systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, R, or Python.
- Strong quantitative, conceptual, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and maintain data integrity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in business administration, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Four years of operations-related experience.
