Vice President, International Government Affairs – Eurasia/Asia (Government Affairs/Advocacy): Leading strategic advocacy and government affairs for Chevron’s Eurasia Pacific business, with an accent on stakeholder engagement, political analysis, issue management, and commercial business development. Focus on building bipartisan policymaker relationships, mitigating above-ground risks, developing policy positions, and supporting executive visits and new market entry.
Location: Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States of America. Relocation may be considered, but expatriate assignments are not available.
Salary: $210,900–$316,300 annually. Compensation is determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do
- Lead advocacy and serve as the internal and external point of contact for Asia Pacific issues in Washington DC.
- Identify policy issues, assess business impacts, develop issue management plans and policy positions, and execute advocacy strategies.
- Build bipartisan relationships with members and staff of Congress, the Executive Branch, agencies, policymakers, think tanks, associations, and diplomatic stakeholders.
- Provide political insight and analysis to senior business leaders and support business development and new market entry.
- Develop and implement executive visits, external meetings, events, committees, and special projects.
- Anticipate, identify, and mitigate above-ground risks affecting Eurasia Pacific business assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10–15 years of experience.
- Expertise in regional government, political, socioeconomic, historical, trade, sanctions, and related stakeholder issues.
- Established bipartisan stakeholder network across the U.S. Congress, Executive Branch, agencies, think tanks, regional associations, and diplomatic community in Washington DC.
- Advanced expertise in issue management, advocacy, and association management.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, and complex portfolio-management skills.
- Ability to work in Washington DC and travel domestically; does not sponsor employment visas or consider candidates with time-limited visa status.

- Master’s degree or JD.
- Ability to travel internationally.
