Senior Network Security Engineer (CCNP Security)

Location: Toronto, Canada

Salary: $88,000–$162,000 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Architect and document end-to-end network security solutions involving next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, segmentation, secure remote access, identity-based access control, and SASE.
• Lead deployments and integrations of Cisco Secure Firewall, Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Meraki.
• Assess client environments, identify security and policy gaps, and recommend improvements to resilience, compliance, and performance.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for critical incidents, performing root-cause analysis and developing remediation plans.
• Advise technical and executive stakeholders through workshops, roadmap sessions, and security assessments.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and managed services teams while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to reference architectures.

Requirements

• Active Cisco Certified Network Professional – Security (CCNP Security) certification.
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network and security solutions.
• Advanced expertise in firewall design, network segmentation, VPN and remote access, Cisco ISE, SSE technologies, and core routing and switching.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Firewall FTD/ASA, ISE, Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, and Secure Access/SASE solutions.
• Experience providing senior-level troubleshooting, escalation management, root-cause analysis, and client-facing technical communication.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Consulting or professional services experience with enterprise network and security solutions.
• Python, Ansible, REST APIs, and infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Industrial networking and OT security experience, including ICS/SCADA, Purdue Model architecture, and IT/OT integration.
• Experience with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, network modernization, segmentation initiatives, mentoring, or cloud security integration with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
