Security Platform Engineer (EDR)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; flexible hybrid work model with in-country work-from-home options

Salary: CAD 65,000–105,000 per year, plus eligible incentive plans

What you will do

• Support and manage security technologies including CrowdStrike, Netskope, and Semperis.
• Plan and deliver enterprise security initiatives, proof-of-concept activities, security controls, and new platform capabilities.
• Deploy, maintain, and operationalize security technologies across the organization.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide technical support during major incident management calls.
• Improve security platform processes and transition completed projects into business-as-usual operations.
• Maintain cybersecurity playbooks, policies, knowledge base articles, and documentation for Incident Management and CSIRT processes.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in the information security industry, with three or four years of information technology experience.
• Information Technology degree, related college diploma, equivalent experience, or five years of IT experience.
• Experience with endpoint security solutions such as CrowdStrike, Netskope, and Semperis.
• Experience designing secure networks and endpoint systems, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Experience supporting multiple platforms and applications in a systems administration role, including Windows and Linux.
• Reliability Security Clearance is required, including a Canadian government law enforcement inquiry, credit check, and disclosure of activities outside Canada during the previous five years.

Nice to have

• Professional IT security designation such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, GIAC, AWS, or CompTIA.
