Quality Engineer (PCB Manufacturing)

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $87,088–$145,146 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Perform contract reviews and define quality assurance requirements for new and recurring programs.
• Act as the quality liaison for program teams and coordinate quality requirements across engineering, production, contracts, and suppliers.
• Develop quality procedures, inspection instructions, manufacturing-router inspection points, program plans, estimates, metrics, and management reports.
• Conduct audits, design and customer reviews, environmental and operational testing, final sell-offs, and product acceptance activities.
• Track internal and supplier corrective actions, support failure analysis and defect trend analysis, and facilitate root-cause corrective action.
• Participate in engineering change reviews and continuous improvement events, including mini Kaizen activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably industrial or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–6 years of related experience or training.
• Must have a background that would allow the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a secret clearance when required.
• Must comply with U.S. export control and ITAR requirements; access to restricted ITAR products and technical data is limited to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 9102B, IPC-610, IPC-620, and J-STD standards and certifications.
• Knowledge of root-cause corrective action methods, mechanical measurement equipment, Microsoft Office, Oracle ERP, and Agile PLM/PDM.
