Salary: $87,000–$130,000 per year; most qualified candidates receive offers of $87,000–$97,400.

What you will do
- Lead data-driven instruction by analyzing student work and assessment results, facilitating data meetings, and developing school-wide response plans.
- Observe teachers, provide real-time and structured feedback, and coach teachers and instructional leaders toward measurable growth.
- Plan and deliver professional development, team meetings, and instructional leadership sessions across the school, region, or network.
- Manage school-wide academic systems, including assessment cycles, office hours, grade books, reteach lessons, and response curriculum.
- Model rigorous and joyful instructional and culture techniques while supporting whole-school initiatives and student achievement.
- Collaborate with the Principal, Director of Operations, Dean of Students, special education staff, social workers, and network partners.
Requirements
- 3+ years of teaching experience with evidence of outstanding student growth and achievement.
- Demonstrated instructional coaching experience contributing to teacher development.
- Strong teaching skills, lesson plan development abilities, and content knowledge across multiple grades or subject areas.
- Ability to lead professional development, manage people, navigate difficult conversations, and hold stakeholders accountable supportively.
- Systems-based thinking, strong prioritization, autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree and commitment to Uncommon’s instructional leadership principles.
