Location: Connecticut, United States; field-based role with regular travel

What you will do

  • Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring during surgical procedures and monitor patients’ nervous systems.
  • Review patient histories and consult with surgeons on structures at risk and monitoring modalities.
  • Communicate monitoring information to surgeons and surgical staff throughout each case.
  • Display, label, measure, and calculate waveform data, including latencies, amplitudes, and conduction times.
  • Identify appropriate protocols, troubleshoot monitoring issues, complete documentation, and upload IOM files.
  • Maintain neuromonitoring equipment and perform required equipment checks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • CNIM certification and the ability to maintain CNIM status.
  • Effective communication in English with surgeons and surgical staff.
  • Strong time-management, organizational, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly, work in operating-room environments, and maintain privileges at required hospitals.
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation capable of carrying medical equipment in the country of operation.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, human anatomy and physiology, or technical troubleshooting.
  • Operating-room experience.
