MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY; onsite at the New York City clinic

Salary: $60–$80 per hour

Part-time position in the Clinical department, with availability required between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Shifts are at least four hours and scheduled according to business needs.

What you will do

• Interpret physician orders and perform MR scans according to specifications and established protocols.
• Explain procedures, medications, and contrast media while supporting patient understanding, comfort, and safety.
• Review patient histories and MR safety assessments, position patients, insert IV catheters, prepare contrast, and operate power injectors.
• Evaluate, label, and document scan images while maintaining optimal image quality.
• Operate, clean, and maintain MRI equipment; troubleshoot protocols and imaging techniques with radiologists and application specialists.
• Support clinical staff education and training.

Requirements

• Active ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Proven MRI Technologist experience with knowledge of MRI imaging principles, protocols, anatomy, MRI physics, IV administration, and MRI safety.
• Experience with PACS systems; AMBRA experience is preferred.
• Strong familiarity with MRI equipment; Siemens experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, mathematical, problem-solving, observational, confidentiality, and patient-care skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Whole Body MRI.
• Experience with AMBRA PACS and Siemens MRI equipment.
