CT Technologist

Location: New York, NY; onsite at a New York City clinic. Open availability is required Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM for shifts of at least 4 hours scheduled according to business needs.

Salary: $60–$80 per hour

What you will do

• Interpret physician and medical professional imaging orders.
• Explain CT procedures, medications, and contrast media to patients, including their purpose and potential biological effects.
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, administer IV contrast, and maintain patient comfort and safety.
• Review images for usability and document patient information and procedure details in electronic medical records.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot CT equipment while managing supplies and inventory.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to patient privacy and safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CT Technologist with strong knowledge of CT imaging principles and protocols.
• Experience with GE and Canon CT equipment.
• Active ARRT certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, biology, chemistry, IV administration, and contrast management.
• Strong communication, observation, organization, problem-solving, mathematics, and computer skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially and professionally.

• Interest in cross-training in DEXA and MRI imaging modalities.
