Anesthesia Tech (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Assist anesthesiologists with examinations, blood draws, inductions, epidurals, spinals, blocks, and intubation.
• Support patient positioning, comfort activities, and placement of monitoring equipment.
• Prepare anesthesia carts, emergency equipment, supplies, instruments, and materials for invasive line procedures.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment, test anesthesia machines according to manufacturer guidelines, and report malfunctions.
• Track and replenish drugs, IV solutions, instruments, and department supplies while coordinating requests with Supply Chain and management.
• Clean equipment and send it for sterilization or high-level disinfection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• One to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to work a rotating shift in an onsite clinical environment.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited CNA program.
• Listing on the Illinois CNA Registry.
