Medical Assistant - Neuro Surgery at Center for Bone and Joint - 32 hours - Foundation Medical Partners

Location: Nashua, NH, United States; Monday–Friday daytime shift

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and support provider visits.
• Record vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Assist with examinations, office procedures, immunizations, medications, injections, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection within scope of practice.
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, equipment, and accurate electronic medical records.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-up care, process referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills.
• Respond to patient calls and portal messages while supporting patient safety, infection prevention, quality initiatives, meetings, training, and process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least three years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it within the established timeframe.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records.

Nice to have

• Current Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA.
• Experience in an ambulatory physician practice.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records.
