SBA Product Business Development Officer Senior (SBA Lending)

Location: Remote; must reside in Alabama or Mississippi. The role supports Alabama and Mississippi markets and may source business nationwide.

What you will do

• Source and originate SBA loans through direct client contact.
• Market a full range of banking services to SBA loan-eligible businesses.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Structure SBA loan proposals, complete initial analysis, and prepare credit packages.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, agency guidelines, and internal policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of four years of SBA lending experience.
• At least five years of SBA, business, or commercial lending experience.
• Residence in Alabama or Mississippi is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• PC and internet proficiency.

Nice to have

• Degree in business or finance.
• SBA loan origination experience and familiarity with commercial loan underwriting systems.
