Project Manager (IT)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The role is initially exclusively onsite at a client location, with the possibility of working from home 2–3 days per week afterward. Increased onsite presence may be required.

Salary: CAD 61,600–111,600 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate technical teams, operations teams, vendors, client stakeholders, and project resources.
• Track risks, issues, changes, dependencies, commitments, and action items through resolution.
• Facilitate project and stakeholder meetings and prepare status reports, documentation, and updates.
• Ensure projects follow client requirements, security requirements, DXC processes, and governance practices.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in project management, IT project management, service delivery, program coordination, or a similar role.
• Canadian citizenship and 10 years of verifiable history on Canadian soil are required for Canadian government security clearance.
• Must reside in the Ottawa area and be able to work onsite at the client location initially.
• Experience managing or coordinating projects in complex IT environments and across multiple technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk and issue management, change management, and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT teams.
• Experience in government, regulated, highly secure, or mission-critical environments.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, or an equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Bilingualism.
