EHS Specialist (Medical Manufacturing)

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; onsite at a medical manufacturing facility

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually

What you will do

• Support environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs across the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, PPE evaluations, safety inspections, Gemba walks, and audits.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, support employee safety training, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and facilities teams to implement safety improvements.
• Support hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, chemical safety, hearing conservation, and environmental monitoring programs.
• Track regulatory requirements and support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, EPA, and related compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, RCRA, and EHS regulatory requirements.
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, safety compliance, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste management, and chemical safety.
• Experience supporting ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.

• Professional EHS certification such as ASP, CSP, or CHMM.
