TL;DR
Sr. EHS Manager (Electronics Manufacturing): Managing environmental, health, safety, security, sustainability, and regulatory programs across manufacturing and R&D facilities with an accent on federal, state, and local compliance, ISO 14001/45001 systems, and hazardous materials management. Focus on leading audits, permits, inspections, risk indicators, waste reduction, PSM initiatives, and continuous improvement across site operations.

Location: Fremont, California; West Haven site; and San Jose, California R&D facility

Base salary: $128,636–$192,954 per year, plus performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

  • Direct environmental, health, safety, security, sustainability, and regulatory programs across manufacturing and R&D facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements covering OSHA, hazardous materials, waste, air and water quality, transportation, emergency planning, and fire protection.
  • Maintain audit-ready facilities and oversee ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, objectives, procedures, reviews, and certification audits.
  • Manage health and safety functions, workers’ compensation support, PPE programs, training, inspections, audits, monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support permits, capital projects, process safety management, vendor and contractor oversight, and change-management initiatives.
  • Lead risk management, KPI development, recycling, waste reduction, pollution abatement, and ESG-related initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, risk management, waste reduction, pollution abatement, EH&S performance measurement, and facility collaboration.
  • Experience managing capital projects from start to finish, including financial responsibility, project justification, and ownership.
  • Must have or obtain a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and Incident Command training within the first six months.
  • Must have or obtain DOT, IMDG, and IATA hazardous materials transportation certification within the first six months.
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors; Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and CHMM certifications are advantageous.
