Warehouse Area Manager (Fulfillment)

What you will do

• Lead inbound receiving and stow or outbound pick, pack, and ship shift operations.
• Manage daily throughput, service-level agreements, quality metrics, inventory accuracy, and safety standards.
• Identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach shift leads and fulfillment associates through structured one-on-ones, feedback, retention efforts, and promotion pipelines.
• Coordinate labor forecasts, inbound and outbound volume, yard capacity, and freight carriers.
• Resolve marketplace, carrier, transit, and vendor compliance exceptions while maintaining SOP and 5S standards.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of direct supervisory experience managing hourly frontline teams, preferably in fulfillment, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling.
• Experience interpreting production metrics and adjusting shift-level labor plans.
• Experience mapping processes, writing SOPs, and training diverse workforces on standardized instructions.
• Strong emotional intelligence, constructive feedback skills, and conflict-resolution ability.
• Willingness to work non-standard shifts, peak-season surges, alternating weekends, and extended hours as needed.
